About the Team The International Engineering team is a core R&D force behind Xiaohongshu's global expansion, carrying the mission of bringing Xiaohongshu to users worldwide. Unlike mature businesses built on continuous optimization, we face a true greenfield — under the complex constraints of multiple languages, regions, and regulatory regimes, we are building from scratch a global architecture spanning multi-region deployment, together with a data compliance platform that powers our global business, keeping the business well-governed, fully transparent, and clearly accountable under multiple regulatory frameworks. Going global is a complete redesign. We rebuild data pipelines and infrastructure under compliance constraints, connecting users across languages and cultures. And as AI redefines content communities, we explore intelligent technology through an AI-Native R&D paradigm — turning AI into the bridge across language, geographic, and compliance divides. We offer a true 0-to-1 stage: hyper-scale global scenarios, engineering problems with no standard answers, and a group of peers who insist on doing the right thing amid uncertainty while relentlessly pursuing code quality and system stability.
