THE ROLE This cell abuse test intern will work on a team to help further the understanding of lithium-ion cell performance through cell testing. They will develop test plans, setup fixtures and test schedules, execute to the plan and report on the results. RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform typical cell abuse tests. • Create test procedures, protocols, and test plans. • Perform test setup and test troubleshooting. • Analyze cell abuse test data and form test reports. • Hands on testing experience on large format prismatic cells. REQUIREMENTS MUST • Major in Material, mechanical, electrochemistry, lithium battery of master. • Experience with hands-on lithium ion battery cell testing and cell safety performance. • Knowledge of electrical test equipment used in battery cell testing or equivalent. • Ability to learn new concepts and methods, propose design of experiments, and execute independently. • Familiar with calibration and maintenance of test equipment. • Working experience in EV industry. • Test procedure/protocol creation and Test schedule creation experience. PREFERRED • Understanding of lithium ion cell safety and its risks. • Time series data analysis capabilities. • Knowing what data to check for test monitoring and test troubleshooting. • Some coding experience preferred (i.e. MATLAB, Python, SQL and/or similar data analysis tool). • Big data processing capabilities. • Intermediate level English language capabilities. • Students who can practice for a long time and have the intention of changing to a full-time position are preferred.
