Geneva 3-6 months The purpose of this internship is to support and contribute to the design and development of advanced data analytics and visualization solutions, that will contribute to the delivery of the JIU mandate through the continuous improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of JIU processes. Some of these tools may be limited to JIU staff, while others may be available to the public through the JIU website. Work will be carried out under the supervision of the JIU Executive Secretary or of delegated Evaluation and Inspection Officers. The internship provides an opportunity for the intern to familiarize themselves with the mandate and processes of a large number of UN entities, a wide range of processes across those entities and to gain exposure to the professional field of oversight. Not available. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization. Successful candidates should discuss their specific visa requirements before accepting the internship offer. • The minimum educational qualification required is a High School Diploma. The applicant must also: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). or (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, a second university degree or equivalent, or higher;
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
