  THE ROLE As a Drive Inverter Electrical Intern, you will be a member of design Drive Inverter from concept to volume production. You will get your hands on schematic and PCB design, circuit simulation, lab debug and failure analysis to support the engineering development of our next-generation products. Apply if you are confident with your engineering fundamentals and passionate about joining us to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy!   RESPONSIBILITIES ·        Complete the training materials and ramp up your learning curve quickly to get familiar with Tesla electrical design tools/procedures. ·        Design Drive Inverter schematic and PCB from the ground up independently to solve the problems from the real world. ·        Design and carry out tests to debug hardware, correlate simulations, and support circuit and component failure analysis. ·        Support worst-case circuit analysis and component selection for inverter electronics. ·        Deliver and present your analysis results with the global design team.   REQUIREMENTS ·        Master or PhD Candidates are preferred but rock-star undergraduates will be considered. ·        Major in power electronics or electronic engineering preferred. ·        Proficiency in schematic and PCB layout (Altium Designer) and 3D modeling (CATIA V6) preferred. ·        Experience in LTspice or MATLAB, Mathcad WCCA, TI C2000 DSP coding, and component selection preferred. ·        Hands-on experience with soldering iron, oscilloscope, multimeter and power analyzer; high-voltage operation experience and safety awareness required. ·        Experience in circuit and component failure analysis and hands-on project delivery preferred. ·        Strong engineering fundamentals and outstanding problem-solving skills with an interest in analytical and hands-on techniques. ·        Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others on problems that are unusual or difficult. ·        Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex test and failure scenarios with good logic and analysis, root-causing and resolving issues. ·        English speaking proficiency.
